Clemson at MD 2007 Sim Last week was a tough week in both the cyber and real world. Both teams dropped tough games. Both look to get back into the win column against Clemson. Mild clear day, and a lot of the pregame talk is about Philip Merling. Corso agrees and picks Clemson. Roberts to kickoff. Spiller returns it out to the 37. James Davis gets it on first and gains 5. Four wide on second, and Davis gets it on a delay for a gain of 21. 1st and 10 on the 37, Davis again, but is stopped for a loss by Dre Moore. 2nd and 11, Davis gets it, goes right, spins of a tackle and takes it all the way in for a TD. Bucholz is on for the XP and it is good. 0-7 3:44 left. Bucholz to kickoff. Dar'rel Scott returns it out to the 32. Lattimore bruises up the middle for a gain of 5. Give to LaQuan Williams on a reverse, for a loss . Give to Lattimore on third and 8, he gains four. Punt by Baltz and Jacoby Ford fields it and goes all the way for a TD. XP is good. 0-14 2:22 left. Scott returns it out to the 27. Pitch to Lattimore and he gains 8 on the play. Turner throws across the middle to Isaiah Williams, but it falls incomplete. 3rd and 2, the give to Jackson and pounds his way through the line for a key first. From the I on first, Lattimore is stopped for a loss. 2nd and 13, direct snap to Lattimore and he loses one more. 3rd and 14, Turner Hits Heyward-Bey for a first across midfield to the 46. Lattimore gets one up the middle. 2nd and 9, Lattimore up the middle again for one yard. The first quarter ends. 3rd and 8, Turner tries to hit Lattimore on a screen and it falls incomplete. Lattimore up the middle for a gain of 5. 3rd and 1 from the 29, Lattimore gets it and is stopped for a loss of 2. Second down looked like a botched handoff and Erin Henderson makes a TFL on Harper. 3rd and 12 as the 3rd qtr ends. Harper airs it out under pressure and hits Xavier Dye to the 45. This time they line up to run a play. The give to Davis and he is stopped short. 4th and goal, and they are going to kick, but time expires. Tough loss. MD showed up, the kick coverage was a debacle! |
