MARYLAND AT CLEMSON 2005 EA SPORTS SIMULATION
Md started the same lineup as the last game, and NCM started things out where he left off. A big three gave the Terps the early 3-0 lead. Both teams started out very well from 3 with MD starting 5-8 and Clemson at 4-6. Ibekwe made an immediate impact upon checking in and the Terps raced out to a 13 point first half lead. The start of the second half saw the Terps sputter and Clemson was able to cut the lead 48-35 with 12:21 remaining in the game. Md is jacking up way to many three pointers. It's almost like there is nobody who can play inside. Garrison finally gets the message goes inside and draws a second foul on Sharod Ford, and converts both Ft's. With 10 minutes to go MD gets their 14th block (this is after I turned block frequency way down as well). Gilchrist nailed an NBA three for 55-47 lead with 9:03 remaining. Clemson just can't seem to get close enough to get the cyber fans in Little John fired up. Every time they make a run, MD has an answer. A tough take to the hoop for McCray increased the lead to 10 with 7:30 left. Garrison has had several second half put backs. Gilchrist drained another deep 3 for a 71-58 lead with 3:52 remaining. Mike Grinnon checked in with 3:30 remaining. Mike Jones had a huge dunk put back with 25 seconds left to put the exclamation point on this one! Final score MD 81- Clemson 65.
