2006 Miami at MD EA SIM
Even with Kyle Wright sitting this one out with a stress fracture and the unfortunate situation with starter Brian Pata's death, Cyber Lee and Herbie are going with the Canes. After last week both the Cyber and real Terps took wins away from Death Valley over Clemson. Md kicks off and it is returned to the 19. On Kirby Freeman's first pass as the starter at the U, it goes for an 81 yard TD to Lance Leggett. XP is good. On the kickoff Brian Monroe kicks it out, and MD takes over at the 35. Ball gets it on first for a gain to the 49. Nice. Ball again gains two across midfield to the other 49. 2nd and 8, Hollenbach drills Heyward-Bey to the 37 for another first. Ball gets two on first. Ball on the delay gets about 5 to the 30. 3rd and 3, and Ball is stopped for no gain. 4th and 2, what to do, what to do? They are going! Ball stopped behind the line, TO on downs. Jarvis James gets about 12 on first. 4 more on first. Freeman's pass is overthrown on 2nd. Freeman takes off and gets the first after some nice pass protection. On first down Miami calls the HB pass, incomplete. 2nd and 10, and James gets down to the 30. First and 10, Freeman hooks up again with Leggett for another TD down the left sideline. Celebration penalty. (Forgot to turn that down). XP is good. 14-0 with 1:03 to go in the first quarter. Heyward-Bey takes it from the 6 to the 24 on the kickoff. Ball gets one. 2nd and 9, Ball stopped for a loss. 3rd and 10, Hollenbach is sacked. Three and out, end of the Quarter. Podlesh on to punt from the 19. Heyward-Bey fumbles the return, but Barnes is there to recover. MD takes over at the 14. Ball stopped for a loss of 2. 2nd and 12, Ball gets it out to 20 with an 8 yard run. Ball stopped for no gain.
