EA Sim UNC @ MD 1/06 Here we are at a packed cyber Comcast Center for the key ACC Match up with Carolina. MD wins the tip, but does not score. DJ forces a tough shot as the shot clock expires and Frasor hits it to start the game. DJ hits NCM on a nice back door cut. Gist hits a 12 footer. Hansborough gets free inside for an easy bucket. Ibekwe makes a nice post move for an easy dunk. Ibekwe starts a break with an incredible block on Hansbrough. NCM misses a three, but Gist dunks home the miss. Noel dunks home a third chance opportunity. Gist splits a pair, after cleaning up a Mike Jones three. Terry makes a three to tied the game at 9 with 9 minutes left. Gist puts the Terps ahead with another short J. NCM cuts backdoor for an easy bucket. Frasor goes to the line after a foul by Ibekwe. Makes them both 15-11 MD. Ibekwe picks up a second foul on Noel, and splits them. Enter Byron Sanders for Noel. NCM sent a lay up attempt by Wes Miller 15 rows deep. A Miller lay-up cuts it to 3 with 6 to go in the half. MJ goes to the line and makes 1. MJ to the line again and drains them both. Quentin Thomas gets an easy lay up for UNC. Ginyard hits a jumper and the lead is down to 2 until Garrison slams one home on a put back. Terry hits a 3 for UNC. Hansborough went right at Garrison and scored to give UNC the lead. Thomas for another easy lay-up down the lane. Sanders gets an and one against Will Bower, makes the FT and the Terps are down by 6. Another easy bucket for UNC and the Terps are down 29-21 with 2:04 left in the half. A Gist jumper is good, and NCM forces a TO and slams it home on the break. Thomas scores easily again. Gist scores again after an offensive rebound. MD can hold for last shot, but NCM hoist a 3, misses, but Gist cleans it up. UNC is fouled makes one and MJ misses a shot at the buzzer. At the half UNC is up 3. Hansborough on an alley-oop from Frasor. MJ gets a finger roll to go. Terry hits the 3 again. DJ follows up his own miss for an easy putback. MJ gets called for a 5 second call???? Carolina couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boar. They resort to fouling, and someone makes two. I missed it sorry! 70-61. Terry for 3. Gist is fouled. first is good. Second is good. 72-64. TO UNC. Terry drives and is fouled. First is good, second is good. DJ misses the front end of the one and one, but Garrison gets it and is fouled. Makes the first, misses the second. Frasor for 3 with 7.1 left down 4, and Carolina couldn't get the foul, MD wins 73-69!!!
