Well I had Brian giving me play by play over the phone to this point and we are all ready trailing 14-3. I always wanted to one of the real games like I do the sims. Kind of blog like. So here is your chance to hear my comments on the game, commercials, and what ever else comes across my mind, like this Yuengling taste good! Sounded like we shot ourselves in the foot a bit, with a pick, and some costly penalties. 1st and 10 for the Terps and Lattimore picks up 6 or 7. Nice run. Actually got 3. Give to Lattimore again and it looks like he got the first. First down. Up to the 40, Play action, turner goes deep to Isaiah Williams, and apparently they were not on the same track. Williams in throw out. Give to Scott for a maybe one. Not a great play. 3rd and 9, Turner crushed. Can they please get the seatexchange.com thing off the field? Baltz to punt. 35 yarder. Weatherford has all the time in the world and hits Da' cody Fagg. This is looking like the FSU vs MD we all know and hate. Pick up of 3 for the noles on the run. Inside the 40 already. Make that inside the 11. This may not be very fun to read for all of you. The quarter ends. Parker for maybe a yard. TD to Fagg. Way too easy. By the way FSU on pace for 580 yards. Cismesia adds the XP. Has anyone ever ordered a crab cake from Ruby Tuesdays? I was really hoping for this to be a game until at least the 4th quarter. TD this drive, or this game is over. At some point you have to count on FSU to self destruct, but to this point they are looking like a well oiled machine. Scott returns the kick to the 24. Lattimore dances his way for a gain of about 6. I really wish Ball would get more carries early. Play action roll out to Heyward-Bey for a gain of 14. Turner took a lick after seeing the replay. Another Play action to Heyward-Bey to the 33. I would rather see Jenn Hildreth than hear her speak. Lattimore gets 4. Lattimore gets 4 more. I liked the little hop for the extra yard. 3rd and 2, Nice! A completion to Jason Goode. Lattimore picks up 7 or so on a nice play, that is setting up the WR reverse! Time out MD. I like the FIOS commercials. MD at the 11, 2nd and 4. False start after a TO!!!! On Goode. Penalties are killing them. Stupid ones to. Another fake end around, this time a pass to Lattimore for a gain of 5. 3rd and 4, there is a picture of the Chuck the Chest. Had Hey-Bey wide open, and he threw it behind him across the middle. That is a killer. Obi on for a 29 yarder, es goot. 21-6. Needed a TD. Now we need a stop. Moving the ball has not been a problem. Penalties, and defense. Weatherford hits Carr, and he almost broke enough ankles to get the first. Ball on the MD 48, and they are punting. Or so they say. Touch back on the punt. This is another most score drive. Preferably a TD. They got the stop, now STRIKE! STEFFY is in, and sacked. Some things never change. Waited to long to try and do anything. Loss of 10, WR screen to Williams for a gain of 1. TO FSU.3rd and 18, sounds like I have been saying that a lot. Steffy nearly sacked, and gets rid of it. Baltz to punt again. Parker returns the punt to the MD 47. Text from Bob" where the F is Turner". My response, "Fridge is an Idiot" .Weatherford gets a gain of about 7, and they get OB. 0:47 left. Weatherford over throws everyone. 3rd and 3, Short pass almost picked off by Erin Henderson. Ball bounced, no doubt about it. 4th and 3. They are punting again. Get Turner back in! Another touchback. Don't worry noles, Steffy will back them inside the 20. Steffy takes the Knee, and that will do it. Ran to K and 8th Market for some homemade Italian Sausage. I am back. I really hope Turner gets the nod to start the Half. I usually feel like Fridge does what is best, but I am scratching my head on this. The offense moved the ball fine, minus the penalties with Turner, and now we are going backwards with Steffy. Makes no sense. It better be Turner, or he better be hurt. Remind me I am cooking someone! I will be bitter if the Sausage burns. MD 5 penalties for 26 yards in the half. Absolute killer. We are actually moving the ball fairly well. I also like the Geico Warren Wallace comercials. They always make me laugh. I hear the sausage sizziling away on the grill pan. Kickoff, and a nice return for the Noles. Fridge says Turner will start. 1st and 10, at the 17, Parker fumbles again. Of course we can't get it. 2nd and 13, Huge sack by Dre Moore. We are going to miss him. 3rd and 20, give to Parker, he gets 7, and another Noles punt. 4 Straight stops. Now do something offense. Big punt, return of 10 by Varner. MD has it at the 42. Give to Ball, luckily got some yards out of it. He missed the block on that one. 2nd and 7, Turner over throws Lee-Odai. 3rd and 7, BIG PLAY, must convert, Slant to Isaiah Williams. Short by one. Turners throw a little behind. MD to punt again. Call a fake! Flag on the play. Delay against the Terps. Parker returns the punt to the 27. Those natural casing sausages can't cook fast enough! Weatherfords pass goes incomplete. 2nd and 10, Henderson makes a nice stop on Parker, or else that would have been a first. 3rd and 6, Make a play D! Pass incomplete. It looks like they are getting a little more aggresive, and actually getting some pressure on Weatherford. We just need a TD. Fair Catch at the 30ish. That sausage has to be done soon. Right? Lets go Terps! Ball gets about 4 yards on the play. Only 3 offensive players have started all 10 games. Play action fakes out the camera man, and Turner keeps it and runs for the first. Looks like another false start. Dagger. 1st and 15. Turner goes deep, and over throws Isaiah Williams. I like the play call though. 2nd and 15, Try it again to Hey-Bey, Tunrer over throws Haynos. Another flag, this time a roughing the passer! Finally the criminoles get caught. 1st and 10 at the 50, Ball turns it up field for a couple. Blitz on, screen to Ball, and he gets about 7. Should be 3rd and 1, Turner on the keeper, and I don't think he got it, but the announcers say yes. The replay looks way short to me. Measurement, and he is short by an inch or two. Go for it!!!!! Cue the Warchant. TO FSU. They are really hyping up the MD NCST game next week. OOH AUstin Powers on tonight on channel tonight. Here we go, and ut oh Turner got blown up. He went about 10-15 yards with a player drapped on him. Lattimore for a yard maybe. Screen to Lattimore, and he steps out at about the 14. 3rd and 5, Turner to Hey-Bey and he gets in!!!!!!!!!!! Finally, that throw was still behind him. Obi's XP is good. Keep attacking deep! 21-13 now, Right back in it. Now would be a good time for that defensive TD I have been clamoring for. Factoid- More TD passes the last two weeks than the rest of the season. Kickoff and return out to the 25. Flag on the play. Against FSU. Here comes the FSU self destruction. Holding. FSU will get the ball at the 12. Fagg drops the first down pass. Just a little over thrown as Weatherford was under heat. Parker for a short gain. Pass to Carr on third is good for 21. That is one that will haunt them. Screen to Shaw for a short gain. Weatherford dumps it off short to Shaw, and he was out. No catch. 3rd and 10, Lets go Defense!!!!! 3:39 left in the 3rd. Pass to the TE, and a GREAT Tackle by Fokui to hold them short. FSU to punt again. Varner fair catch at the 13. Give to Lattimore on first for gain of 8. Before the play they showed Navares blocked FG from last year. How awesome was that. Lattimore gets it again, and the Camera man was faked out. He apparently got the first. I wouldn't know, I didn't see it. Playaction to Heyward-Bey for a gain of 21. Up around midfield. Turner takes off and gets the first!!!!!! Things are picking up on offense. Another fake WR around and give to Lattimore for 4 yards. 2nd and 6, Lattimore up the middle for a couple as the third quarter comes to an end. Keep it going. Uncle Mo is on our side, and this would be a great time to get our first win in Tallahassee. 3rd and 4, Huge play, Turner hits Isaiah Williams on a roll out for the first. Wow great play. Looks like he may have been out. Play under review, and I bet it gets over turned. This review is the ball game. Mark that. Bob just told me to shut up when I texted him "out". This is taking way to much time. They are looking for a way to screw MD. And they do. Go For It. That was close. Can't believe they over turned that. Actually I can. Here we go. Screen and it hits the FSU defender covering the screen. Killer. Ok Defense. You have been there all day. Don't fail us now. Parker on first gets 2. FSU at the 38. A missed sack turns into a 4 yard keeper. MD had 162 yards in the 3rd. Weatherford time and it falls incomplete. 4th and 4, I can't believe they are getting all these stops. They must score on this drive. Fake, and he pooches it to the MD 35. I almost threw up when I saw him taking off. Here we go boys. I am a nervous Nellie right now. Has anyone ever been to a K & G Fashion Superstore? 2 suits for $180 bucks? Lattimore stuffed for a loss. Turner sacked. This ain't good. It must be 3rd and 100. All of the sudden this looks like the first and second quarters again. Still a lot of time left, but they have to get a turnover. Worse case scenario is a FG here. Parker gets about a yard on first. Another running play, this time for 4. Not a very good redzone D stats. 3rd and 5, make a play, Pass deflected, and they will attempt a FG. Come on Navarre, do it again!!! Kick is good. 24-13. This is not the feeling I wanted to have on a Saturday afternoon, after beating BC last weekend. FSU cheerleaders > MD cheerleaders. Go GO. Scott after fumbling the kickoff returns it all the way up to the FSU 40! Come on Chris!!!! Turner rolls out, and he gets the first on a keeper. Nice desicion. Nice block by I. Williams I believe. Turner tries to get it out to the flats and it was deflected. Whistles on the play and they aparently weren't from an official. I could hear them here. He did throw it away, but that was a wasted play. 3rd and 10, Turners pass down field is incomplete. Obi for a 46 yarder. Wide left. That one never looked good. I have to believe that was our chance. Weatherford hit as he throws and it is still complete to Da'Cody Fagg for a nice gain. 1st and 10 at the 50. Parker to the 39 for another first. Showed the replay of the kick. Looked like one of J's snap hooks off the Tee. Parker down to the 27, but there is a hold on the play. 1st and 20, give to the FB for a gain of 7 or so. 2nd and 12, FUMBLE, and MD has it!!!!! Finally they get one. MD at about midfield. Moten recovers it. Come on now. 6:54 left. Turner tries to scramble most likely a loss of 2. 2nd and 11, Turner hit Lee-Odai for a short gain. He was hit imediately. Gain of 3. 3rd and 7, Pass over the head of Lee-Odai. 4th and 7, and they are punting??? I think they need to go, and they are. 3rd attempt at 4th a charm? I am guessing, the Boobie Bowl of 1-9 Notre Dame, against 1-9 and Dook. More on the game later. I need some time to digest this one. Can ND lose to Navy and Dook in the same year???? |
